Mancrush!

Today I'll be talking about this word - mancrush. Very interesting word, denoting a deep respect, almost love for a man from another man. This is different from gay love, though often confused.

Damn! The toughest one's are the closest (ah, sport)

One of the reasons I love football more than basketball (yes I mostly play basketball 'for fun') is the tenseness the very structure of the game introduces. If you are 'firmly in the lead' you might only be a goal ahead, whereas in basketball that superior play will translate directly to about a 10-20 point lead. Yes, yes, it's pretty artificial tenseness in most cases: Bolton is never likely to score on Manchester United... but it COULD happen. That's what makes it fun!

ANYWAYS, had one of the funnest basketball games to participate in today. We had a chance to win it but blew it. I really was bummed, but to me I truly don't mind it as much if we played well, which we did mostly. Plus, I'm not sure if the rules are different in highschool, but if they are anything like in the NBA the amount of lane violations committed by Alice Smith School was x, where x is equal to the number of free throws they shot. I mean what the hell, how is it possible for the offensive rebounders to get the box-out EVERY time on us -- they were moving on the shot instead of when the ball hits the rim (when they're supposed to move). That cost us the game, since we couldn't get rebounds on those cheating bastards.

Sound all 'round

Fantastic. New earphones! If anyone is looking for headphones, I highly recommend almost ANY canalphone (those in-ear ones) because the sound is SO much better. Especially if you're like me and can't stand the voices of other people as they blab at you. 

Kidding, of course. You can always just use only one side. The sound is truly immersive though. That being said, headphones are still the best in terms of sound in my opinion. Some info about the earphones I got -- They're moda phones, RM 399, and for me the best part is that they come with replacement rubber things. Look at any canalphone if you're confused as to what I mean when I use the extremely vague term "rubber things". Check here for a little more in depth about the particular one's I got.

An almost sensual experience

Awesome game.

This is playauditorium, for those who are paranoid and refuse to click on links that may, or may not contain, viruses. An amazing game, discovered during chemistry class yesterday. Play with sound! You won't regret it. 

Unfortunately this gives me a reason to get iPhone where I didn't want one before. I'm now slightly more jealous of those who do have one.

The horror! The horror!

Damien informed me of something very sad today, as I was about to start writing my French oral (i.e. God damnit, why didn't I do it over break). So now I'm still not doing my French oral, and instead, I'm blogging about this sad event.

1up was bought by UGO today.

Okay, I know nothing about UGO really, so I didn't initially have any emotional reaction. Then Damien told me that they fired practically the entire 1up show crew, which is just ridiculous if they have any plans of continuing the show. That's like buying a Mustang, taking out the engine and putting some shitty Proton engine replacement, and then taking it for a spin.

They fired all the people pictured on the front page here.

There's basically a few more guys and a couple girls left who would run the show, and trust me they are not the main attractions.

NOW THE BEST PART! UGO writes:

LOL! Bullshit much? They fired all the personalities on the 1up show. Lies, damn lies.

2. Almost everyone posted on exam week. Psh, nobody studies as hard as they say they did. Not even my sister.

I thought this was hilarious. In that Rory kind of way. I'm probably crazy though, since the one person I sent it to (Ms. Majid), thought I was crazy and didn't get it.

Anyways, time to go lose consciousness until 6:30 AM tomorrow morning, by which time I will be wholly enveloped in the school atmosphere, most likely. Bummer.

Forgive me

No, this is not some god damn emo post. I found out about this place ("blogspot"?) a few days before Christmas break started. Apparently my sister has (had?) some weird stuff on hers: I don't even want to know. Not really surprising, actually. What WAS surprising is that a lot of people I know have these things. What the hell? DANIAL?!

Fast forward to, well, now basically (AKA check the date on this posting), and I started my own. And that's why the title is what it is. It's actually quite entertaining (well some of you guys, anyways, if you even read this or care). Do I care about your life's sorrows, or whatever. Mildly yes, in the same way that I hear about the news everday. But mostly not really. This is the internet, for god's sake, so if you wanted me to know you'd have told me in person.

I might move that survey thing here, but I prefer to instead refer you to facebook.com, where you can search for Danial Khusahry's page and look at his wall if you want to see it.
